The universe has started through a great explosion, and then its parts have been scratched and formed the stars and galaxies. The astonishing thing is that the Qur'an has spoken about these stages very accurately in the saying of Allah (Exalted is He): "And have not the ones who disbelieved seen that the heavens and the earth were an integrated (mass), then We unseamed them, and of water We have made every living thing? Would they then not believe?"

Surat Al- Anbiya (The Prophets) verse no.30
