The Status of Jesus in Islam
Muslims believe that Jesus (peace be upon him) is one of the Messengers of Allah (peace be upon them all) and that he was born miraculously without a father. There is a whole Surah (chapter) in the Glorious Qur’an named Surat Maryam (i.e. Mary), chapter 19, in honor of Mary, the mother of Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him).
Such an honoring of Mary is not found in the Christian Bible. Out of the 66 books of the Protestants and 73 of the Roman Catholics, not one is named after Mary or her son. You will find books named after Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter, Paul and two score more obscure names, but not a single one is that of Mary!
