Allah Almighty says in the Qur’an about rains: (And there is not a thing, but with us are the stores thereof. And we send it not down except in a known measure.){ Sûrat A-Hijr - The Rocky Tract -verse21} .

[ltr]Old Muslim scholars explained this verse by saying that Allah Almighty descends rains on earth in a fixed amount so that all years are equal in the amount of rains but it differs from place to another. They mentioned this scientific fact seven centuries ago when Europe was full of myths and legends. Those old scholars were not inspired by Allah but they realized Qur’an in the right way because they purified their hearts and minds and directed their sincere intentions to Allah Almighty.[/ltr]
