Ayat Of The Day.

Peace to one and all,
For today, 25th Muharram, 1435 A.H, let us take just one Ayat from Surat Nazi'at of the Holy Qur'an...the last Scripture/Holy Book to be revealed by God Almighty and try to learn one or two things it teaches.. shall we?
In that particular Ayat or Verse, Allah, Most High Lord of the Universe says:--

"BUT FOR HIM WHO FEARED STANDING BEFORE HIS LORD [on the Judgement Day]
AND FORBADE THE SOUL ITS CAPRICE, SURELY PARADISE WILL BE THE REFUGE". (79:40)

This Ayat is explained by a Hadith in which Jabir, may Allah be pleased with him, reported the Messenger of Allah, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, said that:-

"THE THINGS THAT I FEAR MOST FOR MY COMMUNITY ARE: FOLLOWING [one's] PASSION
AND EXPECTING TOO MUCH [of this world]. FOLLOWING ONE'S PASSION TURNS ONE AWAY
FROM THE TRUTH, WHEREAS EXPECTING TOO MUCH [of this world] RENDERS ONE FORGETFUL
OF THE HEREAFTER. KNOW THEREFORE, THAT STRUGGLING AGAINST THE SOUL IS THE
BEGINNING OF WORSHIP".
